This week I am joined by Joel Davis, the CEO of Tutors United. Tutors united is a social enterprise that employs university students and provides affordable private tutoring to primary school pupils from low-income and migrant backgrounds.
Since starting Tutors United, Joel has scaled tutors united operations across Four UK cities, employed over 250 university students and tutored over 1,000 primary school pupils to make outstanding academic progress.
On this episode, we discuss Joel’s journey from acting to social entrepreneurship and impacting the lives of young pupils by bringing education back home. Joel highlights the need for more male teachers in the educational sector. Joel also shares his experience starting a social enterprise, managing a diverse team and scaling his successful business.
