Episode 88: Show Notes.
Today on NorCal and Shill we welcome guest Joey L., a Canadian-born photographer and director currently based in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been and continues to be, consistently sought after by prominent advertising clients. He’s photographed several recognizable faces including De Niro, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, and John Legend, just to name a few. Since he was a teenager, his own curiosity for different ways of living has inspired his work, including his series Holy Men — which turned into an annual pilgrimage to document Halloween in Brooklyn — a favorite personal project. Joey believes the personal connection to subjects and clients carries weight and is a large part of what makes an image resonate. Joey’s work is truly inspirational, and he has been named one of the 30 Photographers Under 30 to Watch by Complex Magazine. Today, we discuss a range of interesting points, including Joey’s initial thoughts on NFTs, how his photography career kicked off with his dinosaur toys, and the importance of finding your own path as an artist. Don’t miss out on hearing from the talented mind of Joey L., so tune in now.
Key Points From This Episode:

• Why he thought the NFT space looked like the photo he took of Sam Spratt’s Council of Luci.
