Johann Kendrick Tan,  an embodiment of the human spirit.   His parents, Stephen and Ces Tan,  discovered that he had Bilateral retinoblastoma -cancer of the eyes when he was around 8 months old. His left eye was removed. He had one year of treatment, and chemotherapy,  After so many procedures, they still can’t save his eyesight, now,  he is totally blind. 

But he’s very talented and skilled.  He’s a good singer,  a budding musician, and a programmer.  This teenage kid,  despite being visually impaired reads,  watches movies and keeps himself active in social media, and learns to program for apps.   He is totally into robotics and programming.  Johann hopes to become an app engineer and a musician someday.
