* Jesus had just told them He would be betrayed and that He was going away.
* They had lots of questions - Thomas, Philip, & Judas.
* vs 1 - Don’t be troubled - put your trust in God! SECURITY.
* Philip doubted Jesus, so Jesus told him to believe him because of the works He did.
* vs 12 - our belief (commitment) in Him will allow us to do the same works.
* Greater works - Lebron James example & Pentecost.
* Doing these greater works will require two things:
* 1) PRAYER - communion with God.
* vs 13 - KEY: we’ll do greater works in proportion to our desire to do them for Him.
* vs 14 - using Christ’s name is a privilege and responsibility.
* We get what we ask for when it lines up with His will.
* 2) POWER - through the Holy Spirit, but only as we OBEY.
* vs 15 - prayer without obedience is powerless.
* vs 16 - If we obey we get the Holy Spirit, who gives us the power to do greater works.
* vs 17 - “He dwells with you and will be ‘in’ you.”
* vs 18—20 - divine insulation!
* vs 21 - If you obey His commandments He will manifest Himself to them, even though He’s gone.
* vs 22-23 - Judas asks why Jesus isn’t telling the world this stuff.
* Christ responds that His plan is to do it THROUGH US!
* The Holy Spirit is in us to manifest Christ to the world around us.
* Jesus Christ is IN YOU….and He wants out!
