This past Sunday was Mother’s Day. We all thought of ways to show our moms that we love them: Flowers, cards, brunch, phone calls… After all that our mothers have done for us, of course we want to show them our love. Isn’t it the same with Jesus? Jesus has done even more for us than our moms have, like dying on the cross for our sins and rising from the dead to give us eternal life. After all that Jesus has done, how do we show Jesus our love? It’s simple. Jesus tells us, “If you love me, keep my commands” (John 14:15). We show our love for Jesus by keeping his commands.
