As believers, if we find ourselves following the rules simply out of fear of God’s wrath, we have greatly misunderstood His nature. He loves us. He does not give us commands and direction to make us miserable or to steal our joy. As a loving, understanding Father, He knows what will harm us and He wants to keep us from that pain. As Pastor Ray encourages us in today’s message, our obedience should come out of love for God and a realization that He knows what’s best for us.
