Peter's denials. Jesus' trials before Annas, Caiaphas and finally Pilate. Pilate tries to get the audience to make a choice between Jesus and Barabbas - who is a revolutionary and whose name means "son of the father" or "son of the teacher" - and to chose Barabbas. Interestingly, the choice comes down between "The Son of The Father (God)" vs. "the son of the father (of this world)".
