That You May Believe | The Gospel of John || The evening of Resurrection Sunday the disciples were gathered in fear. But there was also hope. They had heard from the women and the two on the road to Emmaus that Jesus was alive. They wanted to believe, but it seemed so unbelievable. Then Jesus appeared to them and their hope turned to joy. Except for Thomas. He wasn’t there and still didn’t believe until Jesus appeared to him as well. Jesus said blessed are those who have not seen but yet believe. As John wrote, this gospel account is sufficient, that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ.
