Summary

Let us not be like these people, beloved. You and I study the Scriptures together, but let us remember that the goal is not to become experts in Scripture. Our goal is to know the Word, as in John 1:1.

Every time we take communion, or the Lord's supper, whatever you call it in your church, we are reminded of his broken body and spilled blood. The bread and the wine (or grape juice), are symbols of the sacrifice he made. But is taking communion necessary for salvation?
