Lesson 11 of 33.
In this lesson, we see Jesus at cross purposes—first with the crowd in the wilderness—and then with the religious Jews.
The first group wanted to force Jesus into becoming their king so that He might overthrow Roman rule and they would have an endless supply of food.
The religious Jews in the synagogue at Capernaum would not accept the fact that He had miraculously come down from heaven. After all, they knew who His parents were. If they had only seen Him that night when He was walking on the water to save His disciples, they might have had a different opinion.
