John Alban is a pioneer of Rhône-style wines in California and a cherished friend of Blackberry Farm. One of the true architects of modern wine, John is the founder and winemaker of Alban Vineyards and the founding director of Hospice du Rhône. John played a pivotal role in bringing Rhône wine production to the United States, and each year Blackberry Farm hosts a Hospice du Rhône event that celebrates Rhône varietals and the culture John helped create. John joined Mary Celeste Beall and Sarah Chabot to discuss his inspiring origin story and lasting vision.
