I met John "Boon" Banez about 5 years back, both still young punk kids with artistic visions beyond our capabilities. Throughout the years that I've known Boon, he has grown into one of the hardest working and passionate photographers that I have ever met. His dreams go beyond the scope of just simply capturing a story, he wants to make a difference in the world. We talked over skype about the first time he started taking pictures and what motivated him to pursue the art form, a recent documentary trip he went on, and how he balances working at Tesla motors while aspiring to generate a global audience and brand.
