I think about the richest men ever in history and this man is definitely up there. Matter of fact, he is widely regarded as the second most richest man of all time & the richest man in modern history. His personal net worth was estimated at 900 million US dollars, almost 3% of the GDP of the US in 1913 [crazy!] To help with perspective in the 21st century, this amounts to 423 billion US dollars as at 2020 with inflation factored in.
