Wild Society: True Crime Podcast

John Douglas White + Anneliese Michel

Listen Later

Welcome to the 40th episode of Wild Society!

John Douglas White appeared to be a pastor who had been saved from his past. But when his necrophilia fantasies got the best of him, he murdered 24 year old Rebekah Jane Gay on Halloween morning in 2012. However, this wasn’t the first time White had killed…

Growing up in a devout Catholic family in 1960s Germany, Anneliese Michel was pretty, vibrant and caring. Attending mass twice a week, her religious practices became more extreme as she grew older, and were heavily influenced by her mother. All of this changed however, when at 16 she suffered convulsions that led to a diagnosis of temporal lobe epilepsy. What transpired from this baffled doctors and psychologists, and led to the worst case of exorcism ever recorded.
