The stern section of the OS35 has been re-floated ahead of final stages of removal operations.

The Captain of the Port said these will be halted temporarily ahead of tougher weather conditions expected this weekend.

John Ghio explained that - when the works resume - the operation is expected to take five uninterrupted days.

The wreck of the bulk carrier will then be transported to the Netherlands and sold for scrap.
