Data allows us to be involved in stories much larger than ourselves from the front end of a computer. As an ex-audio engineer who used to tour the country in a glorified van for a living, this is really appealing! My goal in life is to help those who need it, and while I try my best to do that on a micro-scale everyday, the potential that global data has to put that ability on a macro-scale is what excites me the most!
