Have you ever considered how fear influences your leadership style and the dynamics within your organization?
In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with John Hagel, the visionary author and founder of Beyond Our Edge, LLC. We delved into John's personal journey, which has deeply informed his approach to spotting future opportunities and overcoming the paralysis that fear can create. John introduced us to his framework of three pillars—narrative, passion, and platforms—that are crucial for moving past fear to seize opportunities.
He stressed the significance of crafting opportunity-based narratives, cultivating the "passion of the explorer," and honing capabilities like curiosity and creativity. Our conversation also touched on the transformative role of AI, the evolution towards a pull-based model, and John's innovative idea of an activation center designed to promote ongoing learning and make a tangible impact. We discussed the power of learning platforms and the strategic approach of "zooming in and zooming out" for effective leadership.
