John ‘Jake’ Kennedy has more than 30 years’ experience in the management and delivery of large-scale
events across a diverse range of entertainment and cultural areas. He spent close to 20 years as a key
member of U2’s production management team and was Production Manager and later Tour Director on
Zoo TV and Pop Mart tours which played to a total of 10m people worldwide. He was Project Director for
the Woodstock 1994 and Woodstock 1999 Music and Arts Festivals in USA. Each event attracted approx.
500,000 people to two different small towns in up-state New York and commemorated the original
Woodstock Festival of 1969. Mr. Kennedy has managed arts events at Hannover Expo 2000, at the JFK
Centre for Performing Arts in Washington DC and for Stockholm 2000, the New Year’s Eve 2000 event
attended by 750,000 people in Stockholm harbour. He has considerable experience of project
management work in Third World countries, having managed the installation of power generation projects
for APR Energy LLC. Most recently he has been producer of several music led made for TV Programs in
Ireland, Germany and UK.
