Warriors and Caregivers United (WACU), founded in 2015 and established as a nonprofit in 2016, is dedicated to supporting veterans, particularly those from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, by focusing on their caregivers and families. Recognizing the significant role caregivers play in helping veterans manage post-traumatic stress, WACU organizes community events across Michigan, such as camps and spa days, to foster connections and provide mutual support.
