This week my guest is John Peters, ex-RAF fighter pilot, author of two bestselling books and a BAFTA nominated documentary Tornado Down.

 

Shot down in the first Gulf War, John was held a prisoner of war by the Iraqis and what ensued was seven weeks of torture and interrogation bringing him close to death. His battered face was transmitted globally to 650 million people on the planet.

 

John has spoken in front of the Queen, lunched with Diana and been on stage with Nelson Mandela.
