JOHN SCOTT has been a pro stand up comedian for 15 years and it’s all been going very well: Gigging all over the world, hugely respected in the industry for his satirical and topical humour, award winning and arse kicking festival shows. Behind the mask though John has had his struggles. His misdiagnosed mental health condition labelled him schizophrenic for five years before he took himself to hospital. There he came face-to-face with psychologists who had seen his comedy and had decided the performer they were watching was definitely bipolar.

The chance encounter meant John was correctly diagnosed and treated. From here John has gone on to get a first class honours degree at the age of 49, found a passion for writing plays that is going ridiculously well and rekindled his romance with live performance.
