When David Patterson starts a new job, he is excited to find a group of like-minded coworkers. But he quickly realizes that one of them, John Stotinka, is not quite right. John is always talking about stotinka, stitchworts, and bonfires, and David can't help but feel a little out of place. Eventually, David learns more about John's obsession and finds out that it's something very important to him.
