Why are there Trials ?

God uses trials to do His work in us (shape us) – Romans 8:28

God shows His Sovereignty and His Glory through our trials – 1 Peter 1:6

God prepares us for His service through trials – Job 23:10

God sanctifies us (purges us) through trials – John 15:2

God increases our faith through trials – James 1:2

God teaches us spiritual warfare through trials – Ephesians 6:12

God disciplines us through trials – Hebrews 12:6

What are the desired outcomes of trials in our life ?

Not Moved - Psalm 62:6

When my heart is overwhelmed (faint) …LEAD me to the Rock that is higher than I

You have been my strong tower against the enemy, You are my shelter – refuge

You only , you alone are my Rock , my Defence …

Your loving kindness (Steadfast Love) is better than life ….my lips will praise you …Psalm 63:3

Not Shaken –Luke 6:48

Whoever comes to Me and HEARS my words AND DOES THEM…He is like a man who built a house

DUG DEEP , LAID A FOUNDATION on a ROCK -

Storms came – the FLOOD ROSE, WIND BLEW – BEAT VEHEMENTLY ON THE HOUSE

IT COULD NOT BE SHAKEN ….FOR IT WAS WELL BUILT

Not Ashamed – 2 Timothy 1:12

Paul the Apostle in his last days waiting execution – no family, no wealth, forsaken by many churches

He has committed all he did (his life’s work ) to GOD to judge – LOOKING FORWARD TO RESURRECTION

Many that once ran with him have forsaken him – Demas,, Crescens, - NOTWITHSTANDING LORD STOOD BY ME and STRENGTHENED ME.

I am NOT ASHAMED …for I know Who I have believed and I am persuaded He is ABLE to keep

Troubled on every side, (afflicted) but not crushed, perplexed, persecuted, …BUT NOT FORSAKEN
