Parents often ask me: What’s the most important thing I can do to help my kids? My answer might surprise you!
You might expect me to say “Monitor your teen’s music” or “unplug the Internet”, or even “lock your kids in their room until they’re thirty-five!”
But in reality, the best thing you can do is get in a small group with others who will support you. In your journey, you need someone to encourage you in the low times, help you when you’re struggling, celebrate when times are good, and listen when things spiral out of control.
In order to be a healthy parent, you need to be replenished by others who know what it’s like.
So, what can you do right now? Join a small group with other parents!
