JoJo Gentry grew up playing golf at the Gongaware Junior Golf Academy, under the instruction of Coach Roger Lundy. As her game developed, so did her passion for golf. While attending Butler University, Gentry decided to try to walk on the Women’s Golf team during her sophomore year of college, and ended up playing her remaining three years (’13-’15).
Also while attending Butler, Gentry studied journalism, which led her to her current career as a Sports Anchor/Reporter at CBS 4 in Indianapolis.
In this episode, Gentry talks about first learning golf at age 12 at Gongaware and how that experience shaped her life, how she became involved with the Indiana Golf Foundation Board, and why she thinks Indiana youth should get involved with golf at a young age.
