Jolldown is a portmanteau of "Joll" and "down", "Joll" deriving from the Swedish word for rubber dinghy, "jolle". "Down" can be interpreted either as "riding down the river" or a "showdown" against the river.
It's an annual happening where people get together to meet new friends and just hanging out on the river for 6 hours straight, traveling about 10km down the UmeΓ₯ river.
