Jon Kaplan stops by this episode to talk about the Vermont Walk/Bike Summit that is coming up on May 4th in White River Junction. In addition to being a bicycle and van pool commuter, Jon is the Bicycle and Pedestrian Manager for the Vermont Agency of Transportation and is one of the partners who works to hold the Summit every other year. The goal of the Summit is to advance pedestrian and bicycle initiatives by providing a forum for town officials, planning commissions, economic developers, small businesses, advocates, health agencies, walkers and bicyclists alike to speak, interact and learn. The program this year was recently released and is chock full of amazing topics and speakers. Also, exciting to hear that this year's keynote speaker will be Russ Roca, whom you know from the amazing Path Less Pedaled. Russ will be talking about how the bicycle saved small town America. Register now, and we will see you there!
