God says Go, Jonah says No!

1.     Jonah’s disobedience brings God’s anger (v. 1 - 6)

2.    Jonah’s declaration exposes his foolishness (v. 7 - 10)

3.    Jonah’s punishment saves the sailors (v. 11 - 17)

-> We disobey God like Jonah (and God is gracious)

-> God is angry yet gracious

-> We are saved by God like the sailors
