Jonah goes to the city of Nineveh and preaches to the great city. The people in an odd turn of events (humanistically speaking) repent without hesitation. This seems to be a stark contrast from what is going on in Judah and Israel, and seems to be very similar to the gospel being accepted by gentiles more readily than the jews during the time of Christ.
