Today’s program is about poetry’s connections to nature. The last several programs have been filled with a variety of aesthetic and thematic discussions, many of which have been complex and which have asked that we all think about poetry in a different way than we have been taught over the years. So I thought that, today, we could catch our breaths a bit and I would read poems and translations about summer, about that wonderful season, with some first quick comments and observations about how poetry expresses our connections to the seasons and to the natural world.
