On the latest episode of Mormon Book Reviews, Jonathan Neville returns to talk about a very important volume of books that contain the writings and sermons of Jonathan Edwards that young Joseph Smith may of had access to. Jonathan found information in these volumes that was not available to the public online. We also discuss the important role that the writings of Jonathan Edwards played in the translation process of the Book of Mormon and how that can serve as a bridge between Evanglicals and the Restoration. Jonathan believes that Edwards was a forerunner who helped pave the way for the coming forth of the Restoration and the Book of Mormon. The Joseph Smith Papers Project recognized the important role Edwards played and has been working with the Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University for over a decade.
