You never seem to think that the problems are in your backyard. That is what happened to Jonathan Lawler that spurred him to turn his large farm into a non-profit. From there, compassion and competitive spirit have driven him to grow the land he farms, connect with Flanner House in Indianapolis, and start some interesting, though not yet public, projects on his farm.
