Jordan Institute: Hear Him

Jesus taught the Nephites that one of the great keys to increase personal revelation is to follow the words of prophets.

Few priesthood line tools will bring an increase in personal revelation like the scriptures.

While given through another, your Patriarchal Blessing is a tremendous source of personal revelation.

There are 2 lines of communication from God: a personal line and a priesthood line. Understanding the difference between them and also how they work together, will increase what comes through the personal line. In this episode: temples.

Comparing ourselves to others and tearing ourselves down is human nature. However, it also interferes with the flow of revelation.

While we love the Savior, we are often afraid of Him and keep him at a distance; mistaking Him for a tare. Letting down the barrier and inviting Him more fully into our lives will certainly increase the flow of revelation in our lives.

Two of the most crippling tares that we let into our lives are the false stories we tell ourselves and doubtful disputations. Removing them will free us to more fully Hear Him.

Patterns in the scriptures suggest that one of the greatest dangers in the latter-days is to be Noah Blind. Avoiding Noah Blindness will certainly open the channel of revelation.

The Savior has taught repeatedly and powerfully that healing and forgiveness and -- I would add -- revelation come when we forgive others.

The Word of Wisdom suggests that we are connected to the Divine through a spiritual umbilical cord. How we treat our physical body influences the flow of nutrients through that channel.
