In this episode, Jorge interviews a freshman at Mission Vista High School who isn’t as familiar with English, which is the reason the podcast is being done in Spanish.

It explains her life back in Mexico and how much work her parents had to put in to feed her and her four other siblings while the oldest also work to help out the parents while they moved the younger ones here to U.S for a better education with the hopes of the parents they have an easier life than over in Mexico.

The conversation explores the complexities of the immigrant experience, reflecting on the bravery, struggles, and triumphs of those who leave home and immigrate to start anew.
