José Valle Jr. is a director and all-around filmmaker who I met by coincidence on a film set about a year ago. Between takes, José and I bonded over our shared time in Iowa (and the mutual understanding that nothing beats Casey’s pizza.)

In this episode, we dive into spooky ghost-vampire stories, the difference between “my film” and “our film,” the lessons film school can’t teach you, and why representation on screen matters so much.
