Joseph A. Valenzano is President & CEO of  and its parent ep World, Incorporated. Exceptional Parent Magazine, a publication that serves the needs of families caring for children and adults with disabilities and special health care needs.

In July the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD)  will congratulate Mr. Valenzano as the recipient of the 2013 UNICO Americanism Award.  The national Italian American service organization UNICO takes its name from the Italian word “unico” which means unique.

Mr. Valenzano is also a recipient of the 2010 Art of Reporting Award acknowledging his work to increase public awareness and understanding about genetic advancements or advocacy organizations and their impact on real people’s lives. (View video).

American Italian Radio (AIR) is a weekly, 60 minute show each Wed. at 8pm.  The motto, “You’re on the AIR”, plays on the name of American Italian Radio. Contrary to the familiar phrasing “Italian American”, the show puts America first, yet highlights a strong focus on the Italian culture and traditions which molds and influences all of us. Each week the hosts talk to a guest of American Italian heritage.  The show is programed with one guest for each show, and for the hosts to drive conversations along 3 main themes; The Now – The Traditions – The New. Seasonality will drive specific shows, especially during holidays and traditional family events such as Christenings, weddings, and of course funerals. Listeners will be encouraged to write chat messages into the show to engage the hosts and the guests

Dr. Thomas Esposito heads the Injury Analysis and Prevention Program at the Loyola Burn & Shock Trauma Institute.  He also serves as medical director of the Injury Information System (trauma registry).  Dr. Esposito's research interests revolve around the epidemiology of injury, trauma care outcome analysis, evaluation of injury prevention strategies and trauma systems. He is a member of the National Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council (NEMSAC). Dr. Esposito also is a member of the National Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons, and a consultant to several state Health Departments on Trauma and EMS issues. He also has been the recipient of a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Public Service Award.

Sal Tralongo is called Mr T by the students at the Transfiguration Academy in Bergenfield NJ.  But his path to his current role is anything but straight.  He served in the US Army, got a teaching degree and taught in New York City Schools until the financial crisis forced job cuts. He then went to work at Chase and had a successful 20+ year career before retiring in 2003.  He has come full circle when he went back to teaching and is now the school principal.  Sal is the product of a catholic education and he will talk about his school experience along with his American Italian heritage when he is on AIR radio this week.
