In the final episode of this season of Making a Meharrian, Mr. Israel Thomas joins Dr. Theodora Pinnock to discuss the life and legacy of Joseph Chapman, M.D.
After a near death experience, Dr. Chapman completed his undergraduate education at Fisk University and graduated from Meharry Medical College in 1926.
Dr. Chapman went on to establish Chapman hospital, organized an insurance company and served as Secretary of the Negro Chamber of Commerce. His will is still being carried out today at Meharry by a close relative which will be revealed in the episode.
