Welcome to the final week of our Joseph reflections in our ongoing teaching series:
Heros of the Old Testament – a journey through the lives of Joseph, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Moses.
In a world where hurt and betrayal are common, Joseph’s story of reconciliation is a powerful reminder that healing is possible through faith. His willingness to see God’s bigger plan challenges us to consider:
How might God be calling us to forgive?
Where is He at work behind the scenes in our own story?
This week’s reflection invites us to embrace grace, mercy, and perspective as we move forward in our own lives.
Each week, we’ve been exploring the inspiring stories of key Old Testament figures—examining how their trust in God, their trials, and their faith can help us in our own Christian walk today. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or growing deeper in your journey, this series offers accessible insights into timeless biblical truths.
So far in the series, we’ve looked at major moments in Joseph’s life, taken from the book of Genesis:
Week 1 – Joseph: God With Us (Genesis 39)
Gemma reflected on Joseph’s time in Egypt as a slave and prisoner, reminding us that even in hardship, God never leaves us.
Week 2 – Joseph: God Opens Doors (Genesis 41:1–36)
Anne explored how God prepared Joseph for leadership, showing us how faithfulness in waiting can lead to new opportunities.
Week 3 – Joseph: The Big Reveal (Genesis 44–45)
This week, J shares a deeply emotional and moving reflection. After years of separation and testing, Joseph reveals his identity to his brothers. Rather than seeking revenge, he chooses forgiveness and restoration—acknowledging God’s hand in every step of his journey.
Next week, we begin looking at the life of Noah, asking what his obedience, faith, and endurance can teach us about listening to God and trusting Him through uncertain times.
