How do you catch a monkey?

According to an old folktale, you place food in a jar with a narrow opening. The monkey reaches in, grabs the treat… and gets stuck. Not because the jar is too small, but because the monkey refuses to let go.

In this final message of the Joseph & The Honest Men series, Pastor Jason Barnett explores Genesis 42:29–38, where Jacob faces a painful decision: hold tightly to his son Benjamin out of fear or trust God with what he loves most.

Like Jacob—and like the monkey in the trap—many of us stay stuck because we refuse to release the things we fear losing.
