Today is January 20, 2017. Travel back with me to this day in 1947. Today we’re in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where the sad news is filtering out that Josh Gibson, the greatest player the Negro Leagues has ever seen, and widely considered the greatest ballplayer most in and around the game have ever seen, has died at the age of 35.
