* Lots nations banded together to destroy Israel.
* Can you imagine how the Israelites felt about this?
* What they didn’t know was that God was allowing them to mount up so He could kill them all in one place.
* This was actually a blessing to the Israelites - they wouldn’t have to fight many different battles, but only one.
* This is why God had to encourage Joshua with “Don’t be afraid” (vs 6)
* Fearing the vast army mounted against him would be natural.
* I can imagine God up in heaven looking down and thinking, “I’ve got this covered!”
* vs 20 - after the battle Joshua saw clearly what God had done.
* The enemy had a date with destiny and God allowed them to pursue His people to bring them to their end.
* When the enemy rises against you it may very well be God’s doing so He can show His power to you and through you.
