* Joshua and his soldiers could’ve gotten really prideful after such amazing victories.

* But they didn’t. How? Two ways:

* 1) They worshipped God after the victory.

* They built an altar to Him, showing reverence and honor to the One who truly brought about the victory.

* They properly recognized they were simply tools God used to get the job done.

* 2) They stayed true to God’s Word.

* They etched God’s Word into the altar they had built, thus showing their commitment to honor it.

* These two things would keep God’s people grounded.
