Journal Club: Determining eLearning Preferences to Inform Beverage Policy Training for Early Care and Education Teachers

Decreasing intake of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) and increasing consumption of healthy beverages (e.g., water and milk) among young children can help address the problem of childhood obesity. Early care and education (ECE) teachers are key to promoting healthy beverages as they play a significant role in establishing healthy habits among young children. Thus, there is a crucial need to ensure that ECE teachers are knowledgeable about recommended beverage policies. This presentation will highlight findings from a mixed-methods study exploring ECE teachers' needs and preferences for eLearning. Outcomes informed the development of beverage policy eLearning training for ECE providers.
