Week Four: Developing Mature Leaders Browse any book store, search Google for Christian conferences, or follow a few church-related blogs, and you'll discover that there is no shortage of opinions when it comes to the role of church leadership. And yet, it seems like we struggle with how to develop leaders within the church. Could it be that we are asking the wrong questions? Or, could we going at leadership development the wrong way? This week we wrap up The Journey Forward series by focusing on the fourth element we need to pack: developing mature leaders. What if we viewed church leadership as a calling rather than an office? What if we emphasized spiritual maturity rather than specific positions within the church? How would that look? What if people just naturally began to lead in certain areas? Would our church be more effective?
