Intriguing
I was a little bit worried when I first started to listen to this, as the narrator sounded like she was in a deep dark 'hole'...........I wasn't sure if I could get past that. However, I did, and I very much enjoyed this novel. I covered history that I hadn't known very much about and the charactors were interesting and identifiable, which, sometimes is very hard with books on history. This is one tht I went and found the book, so that I could read it, too, which was a little bit hard to do, as it is no longer in print. Nor has this author written a book in a long time or very many. Too bad.
Not a book for moral people
I was disappointed at the sexual innuendos in this book and stopped listening when it became obvious that there was going to be a graphic sexual situation. I am not interested in this kind of literature, and therefore, will not purchase another book from this author.
