When God delivered the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt on their way to the Promise Land, they were not lead along the easiest, most comfortable, most convenient route. The journey to the Promise Land was a difficult and dangerous one that required total trust and faith in God. The purpose of the difficult journey was to build spiritual strength and commitment in God’s people.
