Norah Finn is a psychotherapist and faculty member of the William Glasser Institute Ireland. Norah delivered my first introductory session in choice theory psychology and shared with us the ideas and concepts developed by psychiatrist, William Glasser. The training attracts people in psychotherapy and counselling fields, but also educators – teachers & academics, and lead managers – HR & Business leaders.
The training is very much a self-awareness and personal wellbeing journey, you cannot help but learn about yourself and how you interact with others in the world. It is designed in such a way, through case studies, journaling, reflective writing, and presentations, to help you apply Glasser’s theories, in practice, to your daily life.
Norah is inspirational in that she leads by ‘doing’, or maybe ‘being’ is a better word, a choice theorist. She believes in what she is teaching, and I think that is the magic – to be taught by someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes their subject matter – in a living way and not just an abstract, or academic way. You can’t help but be inspired!
