The life of a Christian in the church can be wearisome. It is easy to lose our joy and confidence as we labour. In this week's text, Paul opens his letter to the Philippians with an encouragement. He starts by confessing his joy for the Philippians as they partner with him, and he reminds them that their ultimate joy and confidence is driven by the gospel and powered by God's continued work in them.
