"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
As we continue our journey through the Sermon on the Mount, we come to the second of the "beatitudes." Jesus states that those who mourn are blessed and shall be comforted. On the surface, one may simply think this applies to any sorrow, but today we will see that Jesus desires to comfort those whose hearts are broken over the very things that break the heart of God, namely sin that separates. There is hope in Jesus, and comfort is here!
