Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Friends, amidst all the sorrow and temporary happiness in the world, don't you want the Joy of the Lord?  
There is more to living than this world's goods, for scripture says in Luke 12:15 And he said unto the, take heed and beware of covetouosness:for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things he possesseth. 

So my friends, what matters more is that the Joy  of the Lord is your strength!
